The human body makes glutathione from the amino acids: L-cysteine, L-glutamic acid, and glycine, which are found in many foods.
Within the body, glutathione is present as a reduced and an oxidised form. The oxidised form can be recycled back into the reduced form by enzymatic processes in the body.
